Making our billets
The quality and accuracy of
Target darts is due, in part, to our
depth of understanding of the
powder metallurgy used to make
tungsten billets.All Billets are made
in England enabling us to monitor
quality throughout the process.
The tungsten alloy is made
up from three elements -
• Tungsten powder
• Nickel powder
• Copper powder
Tungsten powder Nickel powder Copper powder
The powders are mixed
together and a binding
wax is added and then
pressed into tungsten
billets.
They are then sintered at
1100 - 1500 degrees.
This transforms the
powder into a solid metal.
The billets are then
centreless ground to give
a good concentric fi nish.
The result - a dart that
gives you accurate fl ight
every time.
